Nine more Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospital on Monday, bringing the number of recoveries to 316 out of 331 confirmed cases in Vietnam so far.
According to the Hanoi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, six patients who were released on Monday morning here were Vietnamese people returning from Russia. They have fully recovered from the virus without fever or coughs. They will be further monitored for 14 more days.
After clearing these six patients, there are now only six Covid-19 infection cases left at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases which has so far provided treatment for the largest number of patients in the country.
Two other Vietnamese patients were also released at the Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital, along with one 37-year-old British man at the Cu Chi Field Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
To date, 49 foreign patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 have recovered and been released from hospitals across the country. Patient 91, British pilot Stephen Cameron, is the last foreign patient who is being treated at the Cho Ray General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. The patient’s condition has improved in recent days according to local doctors.
There are only 15 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam now, most of them in a stable condition. Of the 15 remaining patients, six have tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 once and nine others have tested negative for at least twice.
