According to the footage, a crowd had gathered along the trackside cafe strip to take photos and film an oncoming train. During the moment, a woman sat dangerously close to the tracks to record the scene. As the train passed, it collided with her arm, sending her phone flying through the air.

Speaking with VietNamNet, a representative from Traffic Police Unit No. 4 under the Hanoi Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that officers were dispatched immediately upon receiving reports of the viral video.
“Preliminary findings indicate that the incident occurred within Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam Ward. However, we have not yet established the exact date and time it took place,” the police representative stated.
Authorities added that a review conducted alongside local ward police showed no railway accidents were officially reported in the area over the past week.
Officials are continuing their investigation to clarify the timeline and individuals involved. Additionally, a dedicated task force was deployed to the scene this afternoon to strictly address and handle safety corridor violations along the railway line.
