Nearly 10,000 suspected cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been excluded after they finished their quarantine and showed no signs of COVID-19 symptoms, the Ministry of Health’s infectious disease surveillance system has revealed.
Currently, 1,729 cases are still under quarantine. Of that, 122 were new cases found from March 26.
A total of 57,104 people who reportedly returned from epidemic-hit areas have been quarantined.
Of that, 1,678 have been quarantined at hospitals; 26,962 at other facilities and 28,464 at home.
The total number of samples tested for COVID-19 was more than 31,810. Of that, 153 samples were positive.
By Friday night, the country recorded 153 cases of COVID-19, of which 20 have been treated and released.

They are patients No. 22, No. 23., and No. 35, the ministry said in a statement the same day.
Patient No. 22 is a 60-year-old UK citizen who was hospitalized in Da Nang on March 8 and tested negative for the virus on March 19, 23, and 25.
Patient No. 23 is a 66-year-old UK citizen who was admitted to the hospital in Da Nang on March 8 and tested negative for the virus on March 19, 23, 25, and 26.
Patient No. 35 is a 28-year-old Vietnamese who was hospitalized on March 10 and tested negative for the virus on March 10, 23, and 25.
The novel coronavirus has infected almost 530,000 people and killed nearly 24,000 others around the world. More than 123,000 patients have recovered.
