Thirteen check-points have been set up for Covid-19 prevention at Kim Dien Village in Hai Duong Province after new community cases were found.
Hai Duong authorities have reported 72 new Covid-19 cases in the area. 910 people have samples taken for tests as the Kim Dien Village, Hung Dao Commune, Chi Linh City which has been locked down. State employees also had their body temperatures taken every time they go in or out of the residential area and take shifts to stay at the checkpoints. The villagers asked relatives or acquaintances from the outside to buy them food.
Pham Thi Yen, a local at Kim Dien Village, said that the markets and restaurants had all closed. Many people wear masks even inside their houses.
“I couldn’t go to the fields. My children work far away so they probably will not be able to return home this Tet. But I think it’s better not to. I hope solutions will be implemented quickly to control the outbreak,” she said.
Hai Duong authorities also decided to close all schools from January 29 after 72 new Covid-19 infections were confirmed in the locality.
