Bloomberg: Modern military display alongside Soviet-era tanks
Bloomberg highlighted how thousands of people queued overnight just to watch the rehearsals and final parade. Soldiers even formed heart shapes during drills to show pride in the nation.
Alongside Soviet-era T-55 tanks, Vietnam showcased newer military equipment including drones, cruise missiles, air-defense systems, and domestically produced communications technology. Bloomberg noted this reflects Vietnam’s growing effort to modernize and develop an independent defense ecosystem.

A message of independence and peace
