According to data from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, during the Lunar New Year holiday, from February 8th to February 14th, the tourism industry nationwide estimated to welcome and serve 10.5 million domestic tourists (an increase of 16.6% compared to the same period in 2023). Among them, there were approximately 3.5 million overnight tourists (an increase of 75% compared to the same period in 2023); the average room occupancy rate was estimated to be around 45 – 50% at tourist accommodation establishments (particularly, high-end tourist accommodation facilities from 4 – 5 stars in some key tourist destinations achieved even higher occupancy rates, focusing on the 3rd and 4th day of the lunar new year).
