According to data from the General Statistics Office, international visitors to Vietnam in July reached 1.15 million, an increase of 10.9% compared to the same period last year. In total, during the first seven months of the year, the total number of international visitors reached nearly 10 million.
However, the number of international visitors to Vietnam in July decreased by nearly 10% compared to June. July was also the third consecutive month of decline in international visitor numbers.
Regarding market size, South Korea continues to be the largest source market for Vietnam with nearly 2.6 million visitors (accounting for 26%). China ranks second, with 2.1 million visitors (accounting for 21.4%).
The two markets of South Korea and China contribute nearly half of the total international visitors to Vietnam. The next positions are Taiwan (China), the United States, Japan, and so on.
The National Administration of Tourism of Vietnam assessed that most markets recorded growth, with Asia increasing by 57%. Southeast Asian markets also achieved good growth, with only Thailand decreasing by 14.5%.

Two potential markets in the 7th and 8th positions are Australia and India, with the Australian market predicted to continue to grow strongly in the near future.
Vietnam is currently in the low season for international tourism, but the number of visitors from European markets in July still increased compared to the previous month. This is a positive signal from a key area of Vietnam’s tourism. Lenient visa policies are proving effective.
The leadership of the National Administration of Tourism of Vietnam expects the country’s tourism industry to successfully achieve the target of welcoming 17-18 million international visitors this year.

Third-party tokens are digital assets alleged to be unregistered securities by the SEC that were issued by various companies not named Binance.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may be dropping it’s charges against so-called third-party tokens, such as Solana’s SOL and Polygon’s MATIC, which have been part of its case against Binance, according to a court filing early Tuesday morning.
According to the filing, the SEC has already informed the defendants, Binance and affiliated entities (namely Binance.US and founder Changpeng Zhao), that it “intends to seek leave to amend its complaint, including with respect to the ‘Third Party Crypto Asset Securities’… “obviating the need for the Court to issue a ruling as to the sufficiency of the allegations as to those tokens at this time.”
The issue of third party tokens came to a head in a hearing on July 9 when attorneys for Binance said they interpreted Judge Amy Berman Jackson’s June 28 ruling on Binance’s motion to dismiss the SEC’s case as moving third-party tokens out of the case, CoinDesk reported earlier. The Judge made it clear that this was not her intention.
Third-party tokens are digital assets issued by various companies apart from Binance, that were listed by the crypto exchange. The 10 tokens named in the complaint are SOL, ADA, MATIC, FIL, ATOM, SAND, MANA, ALGO, AXS and COTI. The SEC alleged that these tokens are unregistered securities.
Tuesday’s filing was a court ordered joint response to the positions of both sides on how to proceed further. It was expected that the judge would review what role third-party tokens may play in the SEC’s ongoing case against Binance. Instead, the SEC appears to have changed its position and is now intending to drop that part of its allegations.
This development has resulted in the defense wanting to see the amended complaint before allowing the process of discovery.
“Until defendants have a set of proposed amended allegations in front of them, it is premature and unreasonable for the SEC to expect them to agree to conduct merits discovery for claims on which the SEC may soon seek leave to amend its allegations,” the filing said.
Japan is experiencing a tourism boom, fueled by the devaluation of the Yen. In the first half of 2024, international visitors reached a record 17.78 million, poised to surpass the 2019 record of 31.88 million.
The weaker Yen has made Japan more attractive to international tourists, making living costs cheaper for foreigners while locals face inflation.
Shogo Yonemitsu, owner of a seafood grill restaurant in Shibuya, Tokyo, said, “We are struggling to serve the influx of tourists. Hiring more English-speaking staff is necessary but significantly increases costs.”
To address these challenges, the tourism agency in Hokkaido has urged businesses to offer discounts to locals. In Himeji, officials are considering charging foreign tourists six times the local entrance fee at Himeji Castle.
Shuji Miyake, owner of a Tokyo pub, offers high-end dishes like ramen topped with lobster for 5,500 Yen—four times what locals pay. This caters to tourists willing to spend more on unique experiences.
Australian tourist Phoebe Lee stated she wouldn’t mind paying more if it helps locals. “This supports local businesses and preserves Japanese culture,” she said.
Other famous tourist spots, such as Mount Fuji, also consider different entrance fees for tourists and locals to manage overcrowding, protect the environment, and enhance the visitor experience.
In July 2024 alone, Vietnam welcomed 1.15 million international visitors, a 10.9% increase from July last year, according to the General Statistics Office.
South Korea remains Vietnam’s largest source of international visitors, with nearly 2.6 million arrivals, accounting for 26% of the total. China follows closely with 2.1 million visits, making up 21.4%. Together, these two countries contribute almost 50% of all international visitors to Vietnam.
Taiwan (China) ranks third with 732,000 visits, the US comes in fourth with 478,000 visits, and Japan is fifth with 380,000 visits.
Rounding out the top ten international markets sending the most visitors to Vietnam are Malaysia and Australia (each with 281,000 arrivals), India (272,000 arrivals), Cambodia (260,000 arrivals), and Thailand (248,000 arrivals).
Most markets have shown growth, with Asia increasing by 57%, driven primarily by Northeast Asian markets: China saw a 190% increase, South Korea 37%, Japan 34%, and Taiwan (China) 76%.
Southeast Asian markets like Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Singapore also experienced significant growth, though the Thai market declined.
European markets maintained strong growth in the year’s first seven months, up 47%, with notable increases from the UK, France, Germany, and Russia. Despite the low season for international tourism, European visitor numbers in July still rose compared to the previous month.
The Vietnam National Tourism Administration has hailed these figures as a positive sign, reflecting the success of the open visa policy and recent promotional efforts in key markets such as France, Germany, Italy, and Russia.
With the peak international tourism season approaching in the last months of the year and ongoing promotional activities in key markets, Vietnam’s tourism industry is on track to meet its goal of welcoming 17-18 million international visitors in 2024.
The country of Vietnam is a burning example of how one can stand back up after facing major hurdles. From being a part of the Chinese empire for 1000 years to recovering from the massive destruction caused during the Vietnam War, the country has proved to be a strong nation over the years. Today, the country has made a name for itself globally for its natural beauty, amazing festivals and adaptive culture.
In fact, the country’s popularity made well-known websites offer ‘pay someone to do my assignment’ services to students from the country. Adding on, the country has also ventured into exploring international education and is now ranked as the 8th country with the most international students in the world.
A recent report published by the American Institute of International Education states that the number of Vietnamese students in the US accounts for 2.1% of the total number of international students, contributing $816 million to the US economy. That suggests how Vietnam has pinned its name among the top countries in the world.
However, balancing work and study in a foreign country can be difficult for Vietnamese students studying abroad. Here, we will explore some ways Vietnamese students can apply to have a smooth run in a foreign land.
Work on English Language Skills
Whether you are working in an international country or studying there, the need to refine your English language skills is always important. So, if you have a problem speaking or writing in English, consider working on it without any delays. Take the initiative and talk to native English speakers to understand where you are going wrong and rectify them as soon as possible. Communication is the key to everything. If you are unable to understand what is being asked or convey your message correctly, you will get stressed and will not be able to cope with the changes abroad.
Look for Support
Don’t be a brave heart and try solving all your problems alone. There are Vietnamese student societies in many countries. You can get in touch with them if you are in trouble. That way, you will not have a problem balancing your work and study. Most of the students coming from foreign countries are not well-versed in the policies and are often penalised for not meeting the expectations. Getting help to understand the policies will help you overcome the odds and stay in a foreign country without any problems.
Career Coach
You cannot expect a foreign country to have the same rules and regulations as your country. The companies you will be applying to will have different requirements. Further, you might have skills that are best suited for some other work than the one you are applying to. To ease things out, it is wise to hire a career coach. They will help you guide you to a career that can help you earn money and be successful. When you are in a foreign land, you will not be aware of the ways to apply and the requirements to make the cut. The career coach will help you prepare for the job interview and take you all the way through.
Get Involved
It is not wise to keep things to yourself and avoid talking with people. If you are an introvert, it will be very difficult for you to cope with the changes and maintain a balance. There are many who opt for part-time jobs to manage their expenses. In order to keep things smooth, you must get involved in celebrations, make friends to sail through different obstacles and have a great life there. You can also look for student organisations and cultural societies and join sports teams to be involved and have a smooth run.
Know Your Finances
It is crucial to know about the finances to balance everything in a foreign land. The value of money differs from one country to another. So, to ensure you don’t have problems with finance, make sure to understand and save properly. That way, you will be able to release all your stress and have a smooth run in the country. Make sure to consult with experts to understand the finances and save accordingly.
To End With,
Vietnam has made a name for itself for various reasons. The country ranks high in terms of international students. However, students from the country must be prepared for the challenges they might face abroad. Since many students choose to work while studying, it is crucial to find some ways to maintain a balance between work and study. The points above will help you create a plan and find a way through all the problems. Implement them wisely to avoid all hurdles and enjoy your stay in the country of your choice.

A well-optimized profile also enhances your visibility and discoverability on this platform.
With that in mind, set up a high-quality profile picture and cover photo. These images represent your brand and should compel potential users to check out your profile. Additionally, craft a compelling bio with relevant keywords that reflect your interests and brand story.
3. Create Content That Encourages People to Follow
Aside from optimizing your profile, you must create videos and images encouraging people to follow your page. Engaging content is vital, especially when capturing people’s attention by scrolling endlessly on Facebook.
Take a moment and create high-quality, eye-catching visuals relevant to your specific brand. Then, add an engaging caption that, whenever possible, tells a story, asks questions, or provides some value to your audience to draw the attention of regular Facebook users.
4. Make Use of Popular Hashtags
To gain as many followers as possible, you must ensure your videos are discoverable. One way to do that is by adding trending hashtags to your content. Hashtags categorize videos and images, ensuring they reach the right target audience.
As such, hashtags related to your niche will help you connect with people who share similar interests, making it more likely for them to follow your page instantly.
5. Post on Right Time
If you want your videos to gain traction quickly and boost your followership, you must find the right time to post on Facebook. That way, your videos and images can reach as many eyeballs as possible in record time.
Typically, the best posting time on Facebook varies depending on your target audience. However, evenings and weekends generally have a higher engagement rate.
6. Utilize all Facebook Features
Facebook has different features that allow creators to interact directly with their audience. When used effectively, these features can ensure your content appears on audience feeds.
Take full advantage of videos, stories, and reels on Facebook. Remember to try out Facebook’s live stream option for real-time responses from your target viewers. More importantly, ensure you’ve optimized your content for these specific features to maximize engagement and quickly convert regular viewers into followers.
7. Ask People to Follow
Sometimes, inviting people to follow your page can quickly increase your follower count. A clear call to action encourages people to take the next step. When you directly ask your audience to hit that follow button, you create a straightforward pathway for them to follow.
A simple message such as ‘Follow for more’ at the end of your post could make all the difference. Such CTAs can also convert your viewers into followers in seconds.
8. Engage with Relevant Facebook Groups
Facebook groups are excellent places to find like-minded individuals who quickly follow your profile once your content is interesting. Join relevant groups where you can participate in discussions, share your expertise, and build relationships with potential followers.
Take time to share insightful content, such as tips, advice, or exciting articles, that will add value to your conversations. That way, you can quickly turn FB group members into loyal followers.
9. Cross Promote Your Content
When you cross-promote your content, you tap into a larger pool of engaged users, driving more potential followers to your profile.
To maximize cross-promotions, ensure you share compelling content, such as exclusive content, specialized promotions, or engaged discussions. Then add a consistent branding technique on all platforms to have a somewhat cohesive online presence. That way, you can make it easy for people to identify your brand and connect with you.
10. Collaborate with Influencers
Working with other influencers is a quick way to increase your followership. Most influencers have established trust and credibility with their specific audience. Meaning a recommendation from these influencers to their audience will be highly impactful.
Start by identifying a potential influencer whose audience is similar to yours. Then, create a custom message showing your interest in a collaboration. You can collaborate on joint live sessions, guest posts, or shout-outs, which will help drive growth and engagement quickly.
11. Host Giveaways
Who doesn’t love giveaways? People love gifts, and a well-organized giveaway can generate a lot of engagement around your page. And as a plus, your follower numbers will immediately go through the roof.
Share a post about your giveaway across all social media platforms. This will improve your reach beyond Facebook and enhance your chances of quickly boosting your followership.

The Travel Price Index recently published by NerdWallet shows that travel costs have increased by 10% compared to 2019, the period before Covid-19. This may not seem particularly significant, but you will realize that the money spent will not take you as far as it did 4 or 5 years ago.
People are starting to look towards Asia for affordable vacations as the cost of living in most countries in this region remains much lower compared to the US or Europe.
Therefore, it is no surprise that the best value destination for 2024 is the peaceful Hoi An Ancient Town in Central Vietnam, where a meal costs only 1.48 USD and a local beer is priced at under 1 USD.
According to research by The Post Office UK, Hoi An is one of the eight destinations with local prices lower than in 2023 (a further decrease of 14.4%) and the value of money also tends to decline. The average total cost here is 51.15 euros.
This is the first time Vietnam has topped the ranking, moving up from 6th place last year. Cape Town (South Africa) – last year’s top spot, now ranks second with a cost of around 54.35 euros. Mombasa (Kenya) ranks third with 54.93 euros. Tokyo (Japan) and Algarve (Portugal) rank 4th and 5th, respectively.

Hoi An is one of the most sought-after destinations for backpackers and digital nomads in Vietnam. However, unlike Bali and other popular resort destinations across Asia, Hoi An has not yet been affected by urbanization.
According to Budget Your Trip estimates, the average cost for a week-long trip to Hoi An is 318 USD. This cost depends on the traveler’s style and level of comfort. For budget-conscious travelers, they can spend at least 9.8 USD on meals per day, 19 USD on transportation, and 41 USD for a night at a hotel. Additionally, Hoi An still offers many upscale hotels and resorts for travelers to choose from.
In July, Hoi An was voted by Travel + Leisure readers as one of the top 5 cities in the world in 2024 (World’s Best Cities 2024). TripAdvisor users also voted Hoi An Ancient Town as one of three Vietnamese destinations in the list of “25 Most Loved Destinations in Asia,” alongside the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City and the Cu Chi Tunnels.

Mt. Gox payouts seem to have not spooked BCH holders as the forked version of bitcoin outperformed the market in an otherwise slow trading day.
Bitcoin neared the $70,000 mark for the first time since early June in Asian afternoon hours, days after Republican candidate Donald Trump revealed plans to make the asset a national strategic asset if brought to power in November.
Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and BRETT, a relatively new memecoin on the Base blockchain led gains in the crypto market on Monday. Meanwhile, Solana’s SOL jumped 6%, leading gains among major tokens, as BNB Chain’s BNB, ether (ETH) and XRP rose between 2-5%.
BCH is up over 10% as Mt. Gox finishes distributing tokens to its creditors, beating the CoinDesk 20, a measure of the largest and most liquid digital assets, which is up 3.6%.
CoinDesk Indices data shows that bitcoin (BTC) is up 3%, trading above $69,500, while Ether (ETH) is up 4%, trading above $3300.
This steady rise in price for BTC caused the liquidation of a $13.8 million short bet, while $11.4 million ETH short were wiped out, according to CoinGlass data.
In a highly anticipated speech on Saturday, Trump said that if elected in November, he would fire current SEC Chair Gensler, build a strategic bitcoin reserve, and prevent the U.S. from selling its bitcoin holdings.
