With the theme “Spring of Love, Tet of Togetherness,” Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Lunar New Year 2024 will open its doors to serve the public and tourists for 8 days, from February 7 to February 14.

On the afternoon of January 23, Saigon Tourist Corporation (Saigontourist Group) announced the new features of the Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the 2024 Tet.

Specifically, this year’s Flower Street has the theme “Spring of Love, Tet of Togetherness” and will be open to the public and tourists from February 7 to February 14. The construction period will take place from January 21 to February 7.

The layout of Nguyen Hue Flower Street is divided into three sections. The opening segment is called “Roots of the Homeland,” followed by the climax “Crossing the River,” and the finale is “Integration and Growth.” The dominant color scheme consists of red, orange, and yellow, crystallized from 99 types of flowers.

During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dong Hoa, Deputy General Director of Saigontourist Group, Deputy Head of the organizing committee, mentioned one of the highlights of the 2024 Tet Flower Street is the creativity in connecting the image of the pedestrian street with the imagery of the nine branches of the Mekong River flowing into the sea.

The organizing committee also revealed other notable points of the flower street. Three dragon mascots at the main gate scene (Nguyen Hue – Le Loi intersection) and the ending gate scene (Nguyen Hue – Ton Duc Thang intersection) have a length of over 100m, setting a record for the size of zodiac signs, surpassing the Year of the Dragon in 2012 and the Year of the Tiger in 2022. The dragon mascots are crafted from environmentally friendly materials, with over 90% being shaped steel and a system of mesh fins covering the entire body to simulate scales.

For the first time, the 2024 Tet Flower Street features nine golden apricot trees created by Vietnamese artisans. These trees range from 1 to 3.6m in height, with names like Great Fortune Apricot, Vietnamese Dragon Apricot, Spring School Peach, Lucky Peach Blossom, and Bodhi Great Cat.

Additionally, visitors exploring the flower street this year will have the opportunity to experience augmented reality (AR) technology, allowing them to observe and take photos. This application is implemented at the three main scenes of flower street: the “Twin Dragons Guarding the Dynasty,” the “Spring Flower Boat,” and the “Supreme Thang Long Gate.”

Ho Chi Minh City plans to pilot 200 electric vehicles to serve tourists

The pilot project of electric passenger transport in Ho Chi Minh City will be implemented from the first quarter of 2024 until the end of 2025. Electric vehicles will operate within limited areas on selected routes in districts 1, 4, 5, and 6.

Information from the Department of Transport indicates that the agency has recently submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee for approval a pilot project using four-wheeled electric vehicles for sightseeing and tourism transportation. The plan is expected to be implemented from the first quarter of 2024 to the end of 2025.

The parking area to serve tourists at 23 September Park will be operational from 6 am to 12 am daily. The maximum number of electric vehicles operating during the pilot phase is 200 four-wheeled vehicles with seating capacities ranging from 5 to 14 passengers. Drivers must hold a driver’s license from category B2 and above and undergo training according to the regulations of the Ministry of Transport.

According to the project, electric vehicles will operate within limited areas on specified routes in districts 1, 4, 5, and 6.

The district 1 – district 4 area includes routes such as Nha Rong Wharf – Khanh Hoi Bridge – Ton Duc Thang – Nguyen Binh Khiem – Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – Hoang Sa – Hai Ba Trung – Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – Nguyen Van Cu – Vo Van Kiet – Calmette Bridge – Doan Van Bo – Hoang Dieu – Nguyen Tat Thanh – Nha Rong Wharf.

In the district 5 – district 6 area, there are routes such as Nguyen Van Cu – Nguyen Trai – Nguyen Tri Phuong – Hung Vuong – Hong Bang – Nguyen Thi Nho – Le Quang Sung – Pham Dinh Ho – Thap Muoi – Hai Thuong Lan Ong – Vo Van Kiet – Nguyen Van Cu.

The operating company is Saigon Public Transport Limited Liability Company, responsible for providing and updating the list of electric vehicles participating in the pilot program on the project’s management software system.

As per the operating company’s proposal, the fare per trip ranges from 10,000 VND to 50,000 VND per person, and the rental price for the entire vehicle is between 70,000 VND and 250,000 VND per trip.

Donald Trump-Labeled Wallet Has Over $1M of TRUMP Meme Coin

Issuance of the TRUMP tokens has nothing to do with Trump directly, but some are using the tokens as a speculative bet on his ongoing presidential campaign.

A few thousand dollars worth of a meme token TRUMP sent to a Donald Trump-labeled crypto wallet is now worth over $1 million, data tracked by Arkham shows.

Issuance of the TRUMP token has nothing to do with the former U.S. President directly, but some are using the tokens as a speculative bet on his ongoing presidential campaign.

The tokens were issued in August, and Trump’s wallet originally received $7,100 of TRUMP from the meme coin’s developers between August and October 2023. Sending tokens to a popular entity’s wallet is sometimes used as a marketing strategy by meme coin makers, as they can attract eyeballs – and buying interest.

Prices remained largely unchanged until months after their issuance. However, Trump’s recent victories in the primaries have put him back on track as a Presidential contender in the 2024 elections, and sent these speculative tokens surging to over $2 on Wednesday from 19 cents in November.

The tokens have a market capitalization of over $85 million on Wednesday, data shows. There are several other Trump-themed meme tokens on the market across different blockchains. However, only one set of these has garnered a sizeable community.

Meanwhile, the value of Trump’s wallet has shot up to $2.5 million. It holds $750,000 each in ether (ETH) and wrapped ether WETH, and tiny amounts of several other tokens, most of which were likely sent to the wallet unsolicited.

The wallet held over $4 million at its peak. In December, a tranche of $2.5 million in ether was moved to crypto exchange Coinbase (COIN), all of which were generated from royalty payments from the official Trump NFT collection.

Ngân hàng Quốc tế (VIB) công bố kết quả kinh doanh hợp nhất trước kiểm toán cho năm 2023 với doanh thu tiếp tục đà tăng trưởng tốt, hiệu quả kinh doanh vượt trội, bảng tổng kết tài sản vững mạnh và uy tín thương hiệu ở top đầu ngành.

Kết thúc năm 2023, VIB đạt tổng doanh thu hơn 22.000 tỷ đồng, tăng trưởng 23% so với năm 2022, trong đó thu nhập từ lãi đạt hơn 17.000 tỷ đồng, tăng 16% so với cùng kỳ. Thu nhập ngoài lãi chiếm 22% doanh thu, với sự đóng góp tích cực của các mảng thẻ tín dụng, bảo hiểm, ngoại hối và các khoản thu từ nợ đã xử lý rủi ro.

Chi phí hoạt động tiếp tục được kiểm soát tốt, duy trì ở mức 6.600 nghìn tỷ đồng, chỉ tăng 7% so với cùng kỳ trong bối cảnh VIB đang tiếp tục đầu tư mạnh mẽ vào công nghệ, thương hiệu, mạng lưới chi nhánh và con người. Mức chênh lệch 16% giữa tăng doanh thu và tăng chi phí đã giúp gia tăng hiệu quả chi phí của VIB, với hệ số CIR (chi phí/doanh thu) giảm chỉ còn 30%, mức tốt nhất từ trước tới nay và ở top đầu ngành. Nhờ đó, lợi nhuận trước dự phòng tín dụng đạt trên 15.500 tỷ đồng, tăng trưởng 31% so với năm 2022.

Bên cạnh kết quả kinh doanh giữ vững tăng trưởng ổn định, nhằm nâng cao chất lượng tài sản cũng như tạo bộ đệm dự phòng vững chắc, ngân hàng cũng chủ động trích lập dự phòng lên tới hơn 4.800 tỷ đồng, gấp 3,8 lần so với năm 2022. Kết thúc năm 2023, VIB ghi nhận lợi nhuận trước thuế đạt hơn 10.700 tỷ đồng. Tỷ suất lợi nhuận trên vốn chủ sở hữu (ROE) đạt 25%, duy trì hiệu quả sinh lời top đầu ngành.

Bảng tổng kết tài sản vững mạnh, tín dụng tăng trưởng 14,2%, rủi ro tập trung thấp nhất thị trường

Tại ngày 31.12.2023, tổng tài sản VIB đạt gần 410.000 tỷ đồng, tăng gần 20% so với đầu năm. Dư nợ tín dụng cuối kỳ đạt hơn 267.000 tỷ đồng, tăng 14,2%, sử dụng toàn bộ hạn mức tín dụng được Ngân hàng Nhà nước cấp đầu năm và cao hơn mức tăng trưởng tín dụng trung bình toàn hệ thống.

Đáng chú ý, nhờ các biện pháp quản trị rủi ro chặt chẽ cùng khẩu vị rủi ro thận trọng, tỷ lệ nợ xấu của VIB đã giảm mạnh, chỉ ở mức 2,2% so với mức đỉnh 2,62% vào cuối quý 1 và đang có xu hướng tiếp tục giảm trong bối cảnh thị trường có nhiều tín hiệu tích cực cùng mặt bằng lãi suất đang ở mức thấp trong vòng 20 năm trở lại đây.

Theo ban lãnh đạo VIB, mặc dù tình hình thị trường có nhiều biến động trái chiều nhưng VIB vẫn nhất quán với chiến lược bán lẻ cùng khẩu vị rủi ro thận trọng. Hiện VIB là một trong những ngân hàng có rủi ro tín dụng tập trung thuộc nhóm thấp nhất thị trường với mức độ phân tán rủi ro tập trung tối đa. Tại thời điểm cuối năm 2023, tỷ trọng dư nợ bán lẻ tại VIB đạt trên 85% tổng danh mục cho vay, đồng thời trên 90% dư nợ bán lẻ là cho vay có tài sản đảm bảo. Bên cạnh đó, VIB cũng thận trọng trong việc cấp tín dụng đối với các lĩnh vực tiềm ẩn rủi ro. Trong hơn 4 năm qua, dư nợ cho vay các hoạt động và lĩnh vực như: BOT, năng lượng tái tạo, bảo lãnh trái phiếu doanh nghiệp, đầu tư trái phiếu bất động sản đều bằng không. Danh mục đầu tư vào trái phiếu doanh nghiệp tại VIB cũng ở nhóm thấp nhất thị trường, chỉ chiếm 0,3% danh mục tín dụng và chủ yếu là của các công ty ngành sản xuất và dịch vụ.

Tại ngày 31.12.2023, tổng huy động vốn của VIB đạt 283.000 tỉ đồng, trong đó tiền gửi khách hàng gần 237.000 tỉ đồng, tăng 18% so với đầu năm. Động lực tăng trưởng chính đến từ huy động tiền gửi khách hàng cá nhân tăng 21%, trong đó số dư CASA khách hàng cá nhân cũng tăng tới 33% so với đầu kỳ. Kết quả đạt được thông qua các chiến lược thu hút khách hàng cá nhân bằng các sản phẩm tiền gửi hấp dẫn và tích hợp với ứng dụng ngân hàng số MyVIB mang lại tiện ích cho khách hàng ở mọi nơi. Bên cạnh đó, nhằm đa dạng và tối hóa nguồn vốn, VIB cũng thực hiện huy động trên nhiều kênh khác nhau nhằm đảm bảo thanh khoản và giảm thiểu rủi ro thị trường. Với vị thế và uy tín trên thị trường vốn quốc tế, VIB tiếp tục huy động thành công thêm 280 triệu đô la Mỹ từ các định chế tài chính lớn trên thế giới với các đối tác hàng đầu như UOB, Maybank…, nâng tổng nguồn vốn huy động quốc tế trong năm 2023 đạt gần 400 triệu đô la Mỹ, là ngân hàng Việt Nam duy nhất thực hiện thành công khoản vay hợp vốn trong năm.

Tại ngày 31.12.2023, các chỉ số quản trị đều được được duy trì ở mức an toàn và tối ưu, với hệ số an toàn vốn CAR (Basel II) ở mức 11,7% (so với quy định là trên 8%), hệ số nguồn vốn ngắn hạn cho vay trung dài hạn là 27% (quy định dưới 30%), hệ số cho vay trên huy động (LDR) đạt 73% (quy định là dưới 85%), tỉ lệ dự trữ thanh khoản (MLH) là 18% (quy định là trên 10%) và chỉ số Tỷ lệ nguồn vốn ổn định ròng (NSFR) theo chuẩn mực Basel III đạt 115% (quy định trên 100%).

Trong quý 4 vừa qua, VIB tiếp tục nhận được xếp hạng từ Ngân hàng nhà nước, với mức xếp hạng tổng thể nằm ở nhóm cao nhất ngành ngân hàng. VIB là một trong số ít ngân hàng thương mại có xếp hạng cao nhất bởi NHNN trong 3 năm liên tiếp, dựa theo các tiêu chí minh bạch do NHNN đưa ra. Hue opens for free to visit and organizes many activities to celebrate Lunar New Year

Về các chỉ số an toàn hoạt động, thanh khoản MSB duy trì ổn định và ghi nhận số liệu tích cực với tỷ lệ cho vay trên tổng tiền gửi (LDR) đạt 67,55%, tỷ lệ vốn ngắn hạn cho vay trung dài hạn (MTLT) chỉ 24,87%. Tỉ lệ nợ xấu NPL riêng lẻ giữ mức 1,77% trước CIC và 1,94% sau CIC, nợ cơ cấu Covid-19 chỉ còn 86 tỷ đồng, thể hiện sự nỗ lực của ngân hàng trong việc kiểm soát nợ xấu để củng cố sức mạnh bảng cân đối trước tác động của thị trường. Chỉ số an toàn vốn hợp nhất (CAR) của MSB tăng lên mức 12,76% từ mức 12,33% cuối năm 2022.
