According to a post on Cafebiz, Vietnam Airlines passengers can enjoy Vietnamese bread for light meals on domestic flights from from September 1st.

Specifically, from September 1st, Vietnamese bread will be served to Economy Class passengers for breakfast, lunch and dinner time on short domestic flights between Hanoi – Nha Trang, Da Lat and Buon Ma Thuot, Quy Nhon, Tuy Hoa, Pleiku; between Ho Chi Minh and Thanh Hoa, Vinh.
Previously, Vietnam Airlines introduced Vietnamese bread to special Business and Economy class passengers at all times on short domestic flights and midday meals on long domestic flights which were longer than 2 hours.
Inspired by street food, Vietnamese bread is a new landmark for Vietnam Airlines’ menu with attractive fillings such as grilled beef, roasted chicken with five spice, pork … Passengers feel both familiar and new when enjoying it at an altitude of 10,000m. It promises to satisfy the taste of not only Vietnamese but also foreign tourists who love the “Vietnamese sandwich” – one of the 10 best street food in the world voted by Lonely Planet magazine .
Mr. Trinh Ngoc Thanh – Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines said: “The improvement of light meals is an effort of Vietnam Airlines in listening to customer ideas and perfecting the service from the smallest things to improve the quality 4 stars and reach the 5-star standard after 2020. As a national airline, we also consider aerial cuisine as an interesting way to help connect Vietnamese culture with travelers, especially international tourists.”
In addition to Vietnamese bread, passengers also have a variety of other options with hot cakes such as pateso, chicken with mushroom sauce, minced beef pies, … The airline will serve Vietnamese bread alternately and hot cakes; change alternately 2 cycles per month to let passengers renew their taste constantly.
During main meals on domestic flights lasting 2 hours or more, Business and Economy passengers in particular are still served premium hot meals with desserts such as fresh fruits or cakes. Economy Class passengers can still enjoy an attractive hot meal of rice or noodles with desserts for lunch, dinner and hot cakes for breakfast.
