Cong Ca Phe officially entered the Philippine market in February 2025.
Following its chain of stores in Korea, Malaysia, Canada and Taiwan, Cong Ca Phe announced on its website that it will continue to enter the Philippine market. According to GMA News, the first store of this beverage chain will open in mid-February 2024 at Gateway 2 Mall, Quezon City. However, the menu and other details have not been revealed.
Previously, in 2018, this coffee chain officially entered the Korean market, with the first store in the capital Seoul. Up to now, Cong Ca Phe has 23 stores in the land of kimchi with Seoul (4 stores), Gyeonggi (5 stores) and Busan (5 stores), Daegu (2 stores), Daejeon (3 stores) and 1 store in Ulsan, Cheonan, Gyeongbuk and Jeju respectively.
By 2019, Cong continued to expand into the Malaysian market with 2 stores located in Kuala Lumpur and 1 store in Selangor.
In October 2023, Cong Caphe announced the opening of its first store in Toronto (Canada), marking the third international market that the coffee chain has set foot in. Currently, the coffee chain has two stores in Canada.
Besides Korea, Malaysia and Canada, Taiwan is the next market that Cong Ca Phe chooses when “bringing the bell to strike foreign lands”, with a store currently operating in Taipei City.
So far, in addition to 63 stores in Vietnam, this brand has 28 stores worldwide.
It is known that this coffee chain is operated by Cong Caphe Company Limited. According to information from the National Portal on Business Establishment, this unit was established on November 21, 2014. The company’s headquarters is located in Nga Tu So Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi City.
This company has a charter capital of 5 billion VND. The legal representative and Director is Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, born in 1975. Ms. Dung is also the largest shareholder with a capital contribution of 3 billion VND, equivalent to 60% of the charter capital. The remaining shareholder is Mr. Nguyen Vu Duong, with a capital contribution of 2 billion VND.
Although the parent company of this coffee chain was established in 2014, Cong Cafe was born in 2007. According to the introduction on the website, the predecessor of this shop was a small coffee shop on Trieu Viet Vuong Street, Hanoi.
