Vietjet welcomes 200 millionth passenger, announces new route Ahmedabad (India) – Da Nang

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with a delegation of high-ranking officials and the business communities of both countries, congratulated Vietjet on welcoming its 200 millionth passenger and celebrated the new route during the state visit to India by the Prime Minister.

The 200 millionth passenger of Vietjet is an Indian businessman, Mr. Sandeep Mehta. Vietjet awarded the special passenger with a year of free international flights.

On this occasion, Vietjet also announced the opening of a new route connecting Ahmedabad, the largest city in the Indian state of Gujarat, with Da Nang, the most livable city in Vietnam. The new route is expected to serve passengers from October 2024.

Ahmedabad is the largest city in Gujarat, known for its unique blend of ancient and modern architecture. Gujarat is home to the headquarters of many major Indian companies investing in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Da Nang offers a Central Heritage journey experience with beautiful beaches, luxury resorts, the Golden Bridge, Dragon Bridge, Ba Na Hills, Hoi An, Furama, and more.

Vietjet provides many options for residents and tourists of both countries with direct flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with major Indian cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Tiruchirappalli, as well as famous destinations like Bodh Gaya and Varanasi. Vietjet currently operates the most direct flights between Vietnam and India, with 56 flights per week on seven routes. The total number of passengers transported between Vietnam and India by Vietjet has reached nearly 1.3 million.
