There is no new case of Covid-19 recorded in Vietnam Tuesday morning, and its total count is kept at 265.
Of the total, 119 are active patients, 146 have been discharged from hospitals and still there have been no deaths.
Among the active, nine have tested negative once and 23 tested so twice.
Vietnam now has two days left until its national campaign of social distancing ends Wednesday night.
For this two-week campaign, people in Vietnam have been asked to stay home and only go out when it is truly needed. Anyone found going out for “non-essential” purposes could face a fine of VND200,000 ($8.58).
The authorities are discussing whether or not to extend the social distancing time, given that the epidemic has still developed complicatedly in the country and more cases of community transmission have been detected lately.
The Covid-19 pandemic has claimed almost 120,000 lives as it hit 210 countries and territories.
