Vietnam has gone 24 hours straight without recording any fresh cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), and its total count stays still at 268 since Thursday morning.
For now, 91 are active patients and the remaining 177 have all been discharged from hospitals, the Ministry of Health announced early Friday.

Among the active ones, 14 have tested negative once and 19 twice.
Of the total infections in Vietnam, around 40 percent were cases of community transmission, while the rest were those coming into Vietnam from other countries.
On Thursday, Vietnam brought the number of suspected Covid-19 patients down to one-month low, with 310 suspects in quarantine.

The Covid-19 pandemic has spread to 210 countries and territories, and reported deaths have surpassed 145,300.
