The Vietnam’s Ministry of Health reports no new coronavirus infections Monday evening, keeping its 25 days without any new community transmission cases. The nation’s infection tally stood at 288.
Today, eight Vietnamese patients with COVID-19 have recovered and were discharged from the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi, bringing the country’s total recovered cases to 249.
They include four patients from the COVID-19 hotspot in Ha Loi Commune, Me Linh District, Ha Nội; two from Thai Nguyen Province; one from Hung Yen Province and the last from Bac Giang Province. Vietnam News Agency reported.
Vietnam has 11,181 people in quarantine, including those that have returned from abroad and those who have come in contact with the returnees. Of these, 373 are quarantined at hospitals, 6,000 stay at centralized camps and the rest at home or other accommodation facilities.
The nation has eased its social distancing restrictions and allowed a series of non-essential businesses and services to resume operations, excluding karaoke parlors and discos. All students are back in schools.
