The Vietnam’s Ministry of Health confirmed no fresh coronavirus case Tuesday morning, starting the country’s 19th day without any community transmission.
The country has recorded 271 coronavirus cases to date, of which 50 are active. The active cases include 14 relapses.
Five patients have fully recovered and will be discharged from hospital within today. Dan Tri Newspaper reported
The country had stayed clear of new coronavirus patients nine days in a row as of Sunday morning.
The latest case reported Sunday evening is a British expert, who arrived in HCMC this week to work on a project of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petro Vietnam).

He arrived Vietnam on April 28 by a private jet with 12 others. After landing at Tan Son Nhat Airport in HCMC, he and the others were immediately quarantined.
The man first tested negative for virus along with the other people on board but a second test taken the day before yesterday revealed a positive result. He is currently being treated at a Field Hospital in HCMC.
