London, United Kingdom: Kimlong Ly, a young Cambodian writer, thinker and researcher, is increasingly gaining attention in the United Kingdom for his distinctive approach and writings on philosophy, politics and society. Born on 28 March 2003 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Kimlong is known for his writing style, which he describes as “unorthodox minimalistic philosophy.” His works explore philosophical and social ideas through unconventional methods.

Kimlong holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology and an MA in International Relations from the United Kingdom. He also holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies from Toulouse, France, and is currently pursuing PhD studies in the UK. Beyond academia, he has become increasingly visible through his writing, interviews and public appearances. He has also received several awards in England, contributing to his growing reputation as a young Southeast Asian intellectual.

Vietnam also holds a deeply personal place in Kimlong Ly’s life. His father once lived in Tây Ninh Province, Vietnam, during the period of the Khmer Rouge genocide in Cambodia. His connection to Vietnam is both personal and historical, linking his family’s experience during one of Cambodia’s darkest periods with his own appreciation of Vietnam today.
