Vietnam’s Hai Duong city began social distancing, starting 12:00 today, with the principle of every household, village, commune and district going into self-isolation, VNExpress, a local media reported.
Accordingly, the people are told to stay at home and should only go out in case of extreme necessity, such as buying food, foodstuff and medicine; emergencies; working at factories, production establishments, facilities trading in essential services and goods that are not subject to provisional closure; and other emergency cases.
As per the previous social distancing rules, the government leader requested the strict observance of keeping an interpersonal distance of at least two meters and not gathering in groups of more than two people outside the workplace, schools and hospitals, and in public places.
After Ministry of Health on Thursday confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 infection in the community, the first of its kind in nearly two months, Vietnam has conducted a mass testing and recorded 82 other cases in Chi Linh city of Hai Duong province and Van Don district of Quang Ninh city, Vietnam Plus, a state-run media reported.
