A flight carrying 105 Vietnamese citizens landed in the southern city of Can Tho on April 26.
The flight was arranged by the Vietnamese Embassy in Jakarta, Vietjet Air, and relevant Indonesian agencies to help those with difficult backgrounds such as children, elderly people, and students return home.
After landing at Can Tho International Airport, all people on board have been sent to quarantine for Covid-19 prevention.
Vietnam is sending 13 flights to take local citizens from countries affected by Covid-19 pandemic to return to the country. According to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will conduct 10 such flights, budget airlines VietJet Air will provide two and Bamboo Airways one.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has assigned the ministries of transport, health, national defence and foreign affairs to decide the licensing of flights to bring Vietnamese citizens abroad to home based on specific conditions of each country and the global Covid-19 situation.
However, the priority needs to be given to some groups of people, including those aged below 18, the elderly and those facing visa expire.
On April 22, the Vietnamese Embassy in Vietnam co-operated with Vietnam Airlines to transport medical equipment to Japan for help in the Covid-19 fight. On the return flight, Vietnam Airlines carried nearly 300 Vietnamese back home.
215 Vietnamese people were also brought home from Singapore on a VietjetAir flight which landed at Can Tho Airport on April 24.
