Among 148 active coronavirus patients being treated in Vietnam’s 19 medical facilities, 51 have tested negative between once and four times, the health ministry reported.
Twenty-one patients received negative results two times and seven out of the patients who are receiving treatments at Cu Chi field hospital will be discharged from hospitals on March 29-30.
So far, 4 medical workers including 2 from Bach Mai Hospital and 2 from the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital infected with COVID-19.
As of 18:00, Saturday evening, the country has confirmed 169 infections, including 148 active cases. The earlier 21 cases were discharged from hospitals after treatments.
A British man, aged 58, has become the latest coronavirus patient to have exited hospital on Saturday morning, raising total patients completely recovered from the illness to 21, Ministry of Health reported.
The man was taken to Hue Central Hospital in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on March 10 and confirmed having the virus two days later.
After exiting the hospital, he will be medically monitored for another 14 days. The foreign tourist is one of the four patients having been treated at the hospital. The other three have been getting better.
