The localities where the number of infections decreased the most compared to the previous day were Bac Giang (-1,311), Lang Son (-466), Binh Duong (-383). In contrast, the 3 localities that recorded the highest number of infections compared to the previous day were Hai Duong (+1,081), Vinh Long (+188), Quang Ngai (+154).
The average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days is 91,762 cases/day.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has 9,564,609 infections, ranking 12th out of 225 countries and territories. Particularly for the fourth outbreak (from April 27, 2021 to present), the number of new infections recorded in the country is 9,556,876.
Localities with high cumulative infections during this outbreak: Hanoi (1,474,782), Ho Chi Minh City (594,585), Nghe An (391,871), Binh Duong (376,566), Hai Duong (344,058).
