For the third day in succession, there have been no new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) reported in Vietnam.
The total amount of patients nationwide who have tested positive for coronavirus remains at 268, with 201 people making a full recovery so far with no death reported.
Today, a British man and a Brazilian couple were discharged from two HCMC hospitals specializing in treating coronavirus (Covid-19) patients. The three are among 19 patients linked to the city’s largest Covid-19 hotspot, Buddha Bar & Grill in District 2’s Thao Dien Ward, home to a major expat community.

Each of the discharged patients will be placed under medical monitoring at home for another 14 more days, as required by the Vietnam’s Health Ministry, to prevent risks of further transmission in the community.
As of 6pm Saturday April 18, 2020, nationwide, the number of discharges has been gone up to 201 and active cases brought down to 67.
The nation’s Covid-19 tally has been kept unchanged at 268 since Thursday’s morning.
Nearly 63,000 people are being quarantined in Vietnam – 279 in hospitals specialized for Covid-19 treatment, over 11,300 at centralized facilities and the rest at home. VNExpress, a Vietnamese media reported.
Of the total number of infections in the country, around 40 percent were transmitted within the community while the other patients contracted the virus overseas.
