There were 3,736 Covid-19 suspects quarantined in Vietnamese hospitals as of Saturday morning, down almost 1,000 cases compared to previous day.
Quarantines completed, Lai Chau and Vinh Phuc provinces send citizens home
Those deemed Covid-19 suspects are people who’ve come into close contact with patients or have returned from outbreak areas, or those who’ve shown symptoms of Two provinces on Sunday brought hundreds of people who had completed their quarantines to their hometowns. Vietnam News Agency reported.
A report of the Lai Chau Province showed that by Sunday, 43 people who had close contact with patients No 133 and No 172 had tested negative for the coronavirus, of whom 25 were negative for the third time whereas 18 were negative for the second time.
In an online meeting on Sunday, the provincial Department of Health decided to bring them home and continue their quarantine at home for another 14 days. With the addition of the 43, nearly 700 people who had close contact with patients No 133 and 172 had tested negative for the disease. More than 1,100 people who had far contact with the two patients have also completed their quarantine at home.
The Vĩnh Phúc Province steering committee for COVID-19 prevention and control on Sunday also brought 433 people who completed their quarantine to their hometowns.
Chairman of the provincial people’s committee asked the people to educate their local communities about the importance of following Ministry of Health guidance to fight the pandemic.
Vĩnh Phúc has received more than 700 Vietnamese citizens coming back from countries hit by the COVID-19 pandemic since March 22. They were put into quarantine in three different places. During the quarantine, they received health supervision and all tested negative for the disease. — VNScough, fever and shortness of breath.

Over 100 foreigners thank Vietnam after 14-day quarantine ends
As many as 120 foreigners have expressed their grateful thanks for Vietnamese assistance and support when they were allowed to leave for home from a concentrated quarantine camp in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday.
They were among 930 people who had completed a mandatory 14-day quarantine period at Ho Chi Minh City-based National University. They had several times tested negative for the deadly SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the coronavirus disease.
All of them entered Vietnam from coronavirus-hit countries such as France, the UK, Russia, Germany, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia.
They were brought to the concentrated quarantine camp as soon as they landed in Vietnam more than two weeks ago, in an attempt to prevent the possible spread of the virus to the community.
Living in the quarantine camp is an unforgettable experience for foreigners coming to Vietnam for the first time.
“It was a bit scary at first, especially for foreigners,” said a female foreigner who joined her friends leaving the camp.

“Everything here was very strange, from the living environment to different language, but I enjoyed the life here. The government took care of everyone, they have done a great job, I am grateful.”
Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the Vietnamese government for its considerable assistance, a male foreigner called on everyone to join hands to combat the disease.
“I would like to thank you for what you have done to minimize the impact of the disease. I enjoyed the time here, an interesting experience I have never had. Thank you very much Vietnam. Let’s get rid of over the problem.”
After receiving the negative test results, they were all allowed to leave the camp for places of residence with assistance from the military.
Hundreds overjoyed as a 14-day quarantine period in Binh Duong Province ends
More than 460 people felt overjoyed on April 5 leaving a quarantine camp in southern Binh Duong province for home after they completed a 14-day quarantine period and none of them tested positive for the deadly SARS-CoV-2 virus.

At 08.00am, hundreds of foreigners, students and workers returning Vietnam from abroad were gathering at the Military Corps No. 4 school in Binh Duong to receive a certificate acknowledging their completion of the quarantine period.
