Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City will stop receiving flights that transport Vietnamese nationals returning from foreign countries from March 25.
The Ministry of Transport has requested the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam to inform all airlines temporarily not to take Vietnamese people from abroad to Tan Son Nhat International Airports as HCM City’s quarantine areas have become full.
The suspension will be valid until the end of March 31.

Earlier, the Ministry of Transport has also advised Vietnamese people abroad to carefully consider their return to Vietnam due to tighter aviation regulations for Covid-19 prevention and control.
Vietnam has barred entry for all foreigners from Sunday, March 22, except for special cases, in order to contain the spread of Covid-19.
Vietnam has confirmed 123 Covid-19 patients with 17 among those discharged from the hospital.
