Police in Gia Lam District, Hanoi managed to rescue an abandoned newborn boy from a narrow gap between two walls on Tuesday evening.
Officers said local people found the baby left in a gap betwen two houses in Alley No. 174 on Trau Quy Street in Trau Quy Town, Gia Lam District at around 5:50 pm on the same day.
Upon receiving the people’s report, rescuers quickly came to the scene.

As the slit was too narrow for an adult to get in, the rescuers opened up a hole on one of the two walls and safely took out the litlle child at around 6:00 pm.
The baby was taken to a local medical center for health care.
Authorities are further clarifying the case.
